Artist Paul Trevillion is widely recognised as the world's top football artist with a track record which includes art for the iconic Roy of the Rovers feature and currently his brainchild, You are the Ref, which appears in The Observer every Sunday and also on line at The Guardian.
Launched by Trevillion way back in 1957 in The People it also had a famous run in Shoot magazine in the seventies and early eighties. Trevillion, who over a 60 year career has worked with many of the greatest names in the game including Pelé and George Best, received the ultimate accolade during the 2014 World Cup when his stunning and distinctive art was featured at the prestigious Strand Gallery in central London in a Trevillion Exhibition with the Daily Mail as Media Partner. His football art has appeared in nearly all the UK national newspapers over the years, most notably in The Sunday Times, and The People, and more recently in The Observer, The Guardian and The Daily Mail.
Trevillion was a personal friend of Bobby Moore and worked with Bobby on several successful groundbreaking football promotions.
